Directions
We are making roasted chicken with rice and mushrooms. The chicken-rice combination is always a good idea. They go perfectly with each other. Along with them we will add some carrots and mushrooms to make it even more delicious and tasty.
For this recipe we will use chicken drumsticks. You could fry them together with the other ingredients for a minute-two, just to get a tasty golden brown look.
Add seasonings of your choice.

First, cut both the carrot and the onion into small cubes. Place in a casserole dish. Add mushrooms sliced in circles. Then add rice and sprinkle with salt, black pepper and thyme. Mix well. Add water. The proportions are three to one: three cups of water to one cup of rice. You could use chicken broth instead of water if you like. |
